For what to read—and for what not to? (includes a brilliant list with books of the century)

Read for the love of reading.

The sublimity in literature inspires some.
The escapism that books offer inspires a few others.

It’s the stories that inspire all—I recollect Jeffrey Archer mentioning in an interview on NDTV Justbooks.

We mustn’t read to compete,
to gloat about rarefied interests.
or with money in mind.

We must read for the love of reading—and just for the love of reading.

It’s worth knowing that books teach us that which life may not otherwise. Books influence our personality and our perceptions: so read widely and choose carefully. https://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/%7Eimmer/booksmain is a great find:)
